Winter Family Fun event on Sunday in Charlottetown


The City of Charlottetown invites the public to a free Winter Family Fun event in Victoria Park on Sunday, March 3.

Originally scheduled to take place in February, it will run 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, and include sleigh rides, outdoor skating, free hot chocolate and other spontaneous winter activities. A limited number of free snowshoes will also be available for use, in conjunction with the Winter Family Fun event, between 1 and 4 p.m. at Victoria Park. Those looking to use snowshoes are asked to meet at the Ball Field Clubhouse, off Brighton Road.

A free family indoor skate will also take place on Sunday, March 3, at Cody Banks Arena (58 Maple Ave.), 3-4 p.m. Free hot chocolate will be served. The public is reminded that all participants are required to wear a CSA approved helmet when using the city’s indoor or outdoor rinks.
